You've navigated international moves, adapted to unfamiliar cultures, forged friendships, and found your feet in places that once felt completely foreign. You are resourceful, resilient, capable. When challenges arise, you handle them. You've become remarkably good at starting over. You've become so skilled at adapting to new places that you've stopped noticing just how much adjustment you've been carrying.
But even the strongest people need somewhere they don't have to hold it all together. Sometimes you miss having a place that feels fully yours. Sometimes you wonder where your own goals fit amongst everyone else's needs. Sometimes the constant adapting, supporting, and starting over can leave you feeling disconnected with yourself.
Your are coping. But you don't always have to carry everything alone.

You have built a relationship that has overcome different cultures, traditions, languages, and expectations. That takes courage, flexibility, and a willingness to sit with discomfort. You have kept learning and know how to bridge differences, navigate misunderstandings, and create a shared life together.

Others see the happy couple, the beautiful children, the life you've built together. They don't always see the work behind it. The conversations that require patience. The family expectations. The feeling of being caught between worlds.
You value your relationship deeply. Sometimes you simply need a space that belongs entirely to you.

You chose a life beyond the familiar.
Whether you moved overseas for a career opportunity, humanitarian work, education, or adventure, you've embraced challenges that many people would never consider. You are adaptable, independent, and deeply committed to the work you do. You've learned how to navigate unfamiliar environments, build new communities, and keep moving forward when life is full of uncertainty.
You are confident and capable. Yet living and working internationally brings unique pressures that are difficult to explain to others. The distance from family and trusted support networks. The emotional demands of constant change. Others always looking to you for support and guidance.
You are used to being the one others rely on. But even the most capable people need space to reflect, recharge, and reconnect with themselves.
Living overseas can be a remarkable experience. It takes courage, resilience and adaptability to build a life far from home. You've embraced new opportunities, navigated unfamiliar environments, and created a life between cultures, challenges that most of your friends will never face.
Yet life across countries and cultures can sometimes feel fragmented. Friends and family may understand little about your current life. Those around you now may have no chance to comprehend the world you've left behind.
Even when we are enjoying our life overseas, the demands of constant change and ongoing adjustment, distance from loved ones and the daily weight of not being a local can take a silent toll.
It can begin to feel as though there is no witness to the whole story of your life.
Sometimes you simply need a space where all these parts of yourself can be seen, understood, and brought together.
At WalkNTalk4Expats, we specialise in supporting expats adjusting to life overseas.
Our approach combines confidential online counselling with a holistic understanding of wellbeing. Alongside exploring thoughts, emotions, and life challenges, we recognise the important role that factors such as sleep, physical activity, nutrition, stress, and hormonal changes can play in mental health. Together we explore practical ways to support both emotional wellbeing and everyday resilience through times of transition.
“There’s a lot of talk about needing to go inward to heal, but sometimes the way back to ourselves is through nature, through moving forward."
Cheryl Strayed (Author of Wild)
A free 15-minute consultation gives us a chance to connect, answer your questions and explore whether working together is a good fit.
Hi, I'm Linda - a qualified counsellor whose decades of experience supporting people through change, challenge, and new beginnings ultimately led me to this work.
My journey has taken me across Southeast Asia, the Indian subcontinent, and beyond, where I've taught in international schools, volunteered within deaf communities, and provided one-on-one mentoring, helping individuals clarify their values, set meaningful goals, and navigate relationships and personal change.
I also bring extensive experience in the care and support sector, working alongside people living with dementia and disabilities, as well as supporting the carers and families who walk their journey with them.
I hold a Diploma of Counselling and have continued expanding my expertise through specialised studies in women's mental health, CBT, ACT, and more. WalkNTalk4Expats was born from this unique combination of lived experience and professional training - because my clients deserve a counsellor who keeps growing too.

If you'd like to learn more or explore whether we're a good fit, I'd love to hear from you. A free 15-minute consultation is an opportunity to connect and ask questions, with no obligation.

Start with a free 15-minute introductory call to see if my approach suits you and that we are a good fit. From there we'll book your intake session and begin the journey together.

If you have access to a safe outdoor space, pop in your headphones and let's walk and talk. Prefer to stay indoors? Online video sessions are always available - whatever works best for you.

This is your time. Whether you're carrying stress, navigating a life transition, processing grief, or simply feeling lost between worlds - we talk through whatever is on your mind, at your pace.
Please reach out at linda@walktalkheal.org if you can’t find an answer to your question.
Sessions are flexible and designed to fit around your lifestyle. If you have access to a safe, private outdoor space, such as a park or beach, we can connect via WhatsApp audio while you walk. Many people find that movement and being outdoors helps them think more clearly and speak more freely.
If you’d prefer to meet from home, sessions are also available by secure video through a HIPAA-compliant platform that protects your privacy and confidentiality.
Wherever you are in the world, the goal is the same: providing a supportive space to talk, reflect, and move forward.
No, but many clients see this as a benefit. When you see a psychologist and claim through insurance, it becomes part of your medical history. As a private-pay counselling service, WalkNTalk4Expats offers a completely confidential alternative - no referrals, no insurance claim, and nothing on your medical record.
Not at all! While WalkNTalk4Expats was created with expat women in mind, anyone who feels drawn to this approach is welcome. If you're navigating change, feeling disconnected, or simply need a safe space to be heard, you're in the right place.
WalkNTalk4Expat is designed for expat women around the world, so distance is never a barrier. When you create an account and visit the booking page, availability will automatically display in your local time zone. If you can't find a time that works for you, just send me an email and we'll find that sweet spot together.
No downloads necessary! For walk and talk therapy sessions, we connect via WhatsApp audio (which is fully encrypted) - simply pop in your headphones and head outside. For video sessions, we use a secure online platform. Once you've booked, you'll be sent a link to join your session - just click and you're in!
Not at all! If it's raining, dark out, or you just don't feel like walking - that's totally fine. You can take the call from home, your car, or anywhere you feel safe and comfortable.
That said, when possible, I do encourage walking. Movement can help shift your mood, clear mental clutter, and sometimes make it easier to open up. But ultimately, this is your safe space. Whether you're walking or resting, I'm here to support you.
This is a no-pressure chat to see if we’re a good fit. We’ll talk briefly about what you’re looking for and how this works. You can ask any questions, and there’s no obligation to book.
Great question!
Many people find that walking while talking helps them feel more at ease and able to open up. Moving your body can help shift your mindset too - it’s a gentle, natural way to process what’s on your mind without the pressure of sitting in an office.
Hippocrates put it well: “Walking is man’s best medicine.”
Don’t be surprised, these are all perfectly natural. There is no “right” way to show up here. Whether you cry, vent, laugh, or sit quietly - it’s absolutely fine. This is your safe space.
Anything that’s on your mind - stress, anxiety, grief, life transitions, relationships, burnout, or simply feeling overwhelmed. It’s completely up to you.
I won’t tell you what to do - but I will help you untangle what’s on your mind so you can hear your own voice more clearly. Together, we’ll explore what matters most to you, and from there you’ll start creating small, realistic steps that feel right for your life.
No, I'm a counsellor, not a psychologist. Most of my clients aren't seeking a diagnosis - they're looking for support, practical strategies, and clarity to navigate the challenges of expat life. If that sounds like you, counselling could be a good fit.
A standard 50-minute session is $130
NOTE: I happily give anyone involved in volunteer work a discount. Please ask me about it. I believe in supporting the supporters!
You don't need a GP referral. Just reach out when you are ready - booking is easy, private, and entirely on your terms.
Once you've booked your session, you'll receive a payment link via email to complete your booking - simple and secure!
All session fees are listed in AUD (Australian Dollars).
If you're paying from another country, Stripe will automatically convert the amount to your local currency during checkout - no need to do anything on your end.
Payment is necessary to hold your spot, and is required at least 48 hours before your session.
Life happens! You can reschedule or cancel up to 24 hours in advance at no cost. If something urgent comes up, just message me and we'll sort it out.
